No matter your goals or experience, our fitter, Logan, will keep your individual priorities at the forefront of the fit experience to help you achieve a more comfortable and efficient ride at any level.
WHAT IS A RETÜL BIKE FIT?
Retül Fit is more than just a bike fit—it’s a data driven way to learn about your body and the root cause of your aches and pains. This data will illustrate the unique aspects of your body in conjunction with a specific bike and to help you achieve your individual cycling goals.
Using 3D motion capture technology, the Retül system accurately measures every degree of movement and millimeter of distance, providing you and the fitter with data to support the choices you will make for your cycling equipment and riding position.
Starting with a pre-fit physical assessment, our fitter Logan will work with you to understand your body’s current flexibility and natural tendencies. He will asses your joint mobility and review previous injuries and pain you are experiencing.
You will then discuss your goals on the bike, and how this fit can help to achieve them, whatever they may be.
From there, Logan will have you get on your bike while mounted on a WAHOO trainer. He will place LED markers on eight anatomical points of your body which will be tracked by the Retül Vantage Motion Capture system.
The Retül Vantage system collects real-time, three-dimensional data from each pedal stroke to capture the full story of the rider creating a dynamic fit experience.
The real-time data is compiled into the Retül bike fit software so Logan can look at the numbers, which show degrees of movement that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
He will begin to make adjustments to your bike based on the gathered data, pre-fit physical assessment findings and your cycling goals. This may include equipment or small parts changes such as shoes, footbeds, saddles, stems, handlebars, etc.
Once you and Logan have dialed in your ideal bike position, he will create a digital map of your final bike position using the Retül Zin tool.
The bike data and Zin tool measurements are generated into a complete report that you can reference at any time after your bike fit appointment. This can be used as a guide in the future to set up new bikes of a similar style (i.e. gravel, road, XC, trail) you may purchase.
Keep in mind, it is always a good idea to have a follow-up for each new bike as every bike is different and bodies change over time.
